My Tree in Israel has partnered with HaShomer HaChadash, a Zionist organization connecting volunteers with farmers to protect agricultural lands and foster a deep love for Israel's land and heritage.
A pioneer is one that has their head high in the heavens and their feet rooted deeply in the land
HaShomer HaChadash was established by Yoel Zilberman, from Moshav Tzippori in the Galilee, and On Rifman, from Kibbutz Revivim in the Negev, in response to the pressing need for protecting agricultural lands. The two realized that safeguarding is based on a foundation that embodies a deep educational idea – love of the land, or in its more recognizable form, Zionism.
Since its establishment in 2007, HaShomer HaChadash has inspired the love of the land by connecting tens of thousands of volunteers to the farmers and ranchers in need of assistance and to each individual’s personal identity. This is accomplished through various innovative work and education projects that deepen our shared roots, further cultivating the love of the land.
Over the past year, approximately 150,000 people volunteered in agriculture, coming to farms and ranches, and connected with the land of Israel.
HaShomer HaChadash helps farmers nationwide facing a shortage of working hands by recruiting individual volunteers and groups who come to the field to help out. Beyond helping with the day-to-day work, the volunteers give the farmers a moral boost and a feeling that they are not alone. This is a significant experience that contributes to the farming community and societal involvement. The volunteers experience, sometimes for the first time in their lives, challenging land work.

We invite you to an agricultural experience that combines the value of love of the land, commitment to one another, pure pleasure, and a sense of satisfaction of doing something with great meaning.

The types of volunteering
Agricultural experience as a team-building activity. An opportunity to get out of the routine and experience meaningful agricultural work, combined with field cooking (campfire and Poyke meals), team-building, and activities with content in the open spaces. A fun agricultural experience suitable for groups of employees, personalized and tailored to the group's needs and desires. Hashomer HaChadash provides a comprehensive envelope for the production of this special day. The activity can be held in different regions of the country: Negev, Galilee, Jerusalem Mountains, Shefala, and Golan. The nature of the activity, the place, and the schedule will be built according to the needs of the organization and the spirit of your group.

?What does the activity include
The day opens with an opening conversation and getting to know the farmer: the story of the place, the personal story, and the challenges. Most of the day is spent working in the field, which depends on the needs of the farmer and is adapted to the abilities of the group: picking, harvesting, working in the vineyard, weeding, and more.
