About the Distillery
Golani Distillery is a family-owned distillery located in the beautiful Golan Heights region of Israel. Established in 2014 by David and Alona Zibell, the distillery is focused on producing high-quality, locally-sourced whiskies that showcase the unique terroir of the area.
In 2016, Israel’s first-ever whisky was introduced on Independence Day, marking a milestone achievement for our family and our distillery. Since then, we have continued to grow and expand our offerings, while always respecting the land and community that make our whiskies possible.
Our Local Barley Story
The Zibell family first encountered Sam at one of their inaugural whisky tastings back in 2016. Having fostered a childhood dream of owning a farm in Columbia, Sam took a leap of faith and bought "La Finca" in Israel.
Determined to craft a unique local beer, he embarked on the journey of developing a new strain of barley. However, upon learning about our own story, Sam made the bold decision to shift his focus to whisky instead. For the past six years, he has wholeheartedly devoted himself to the creation of the exceptional 2 Row Halpert Barley.
Since 2019, they have had the pleasure of transforming all of Sam's carefully nurtured barley into whisky, thereby realizing their shared dream of cultivating a truly farm-to-bottle experience. L'chaim!

Visit the Distillery
When you adopt a whisky cask, you are invited to visit the distillery, meet the master distiller, and enjoy a whisky tasting session with the staff, such a powerful and fun experience.
It turns a vacation into a long-term connection. Visitors return home not just with memories, but with a living symbol of their bond with Israel - a tree, a vine, or a bottle that literally carries the fruits of the land. It makes Israel an inseparable part of their lives.
How it works
You invest in a barrel of whiskey at Golani distillery. Single Grain | Single Cask | 40% Experience refinement with our Golani Black Lifestyle Whisky.
From that cask, you will receive a case of six bottles each 700 ml.
You will choose the name you'd like to print on the label of your bottles.
The bottles will then be sent to you in the USA for you to enjoy. The next shipment will be in December 2025 for Chanukah and Christmas
